By 1936 Ford had sold its twelve millionth vehicle and was charging ahead in the auto industry with full force. Several models and body styles became available one of which being a rumble seat coupe which as a deluxe version only cost $555.00 when new. This little hot rod was completed over 20 years ago but still turns heads today. The custom dark green pinstripe looks great in contrast with the metallic green paint. The interior of this coupe is completely custom with brown velour seats, brown vinyl door panels with embroidered Ford crest, Grant GT steering wheel on a GM column, wood dash panel with white gauges by Classic Instruments and sliding rear window. The powertrain consists of a smooth and strong running 350 cubic inch Chevrolet V8 backed by what is believed to be a turbo 350 Transmission and a Corvette rear end. The front suspension is that of a Mustang II and makes for a fun ride. Options on this car include Air Conditioning, Blaupunkt AM/FM Stereo with Cassette, tachometer, sunroof, seat belts, remote electric rumble seat lock, Summit chrome air cleaner and valve covers and American Racing Wheels.
