1970 Dodge Charger

For sale in our Chicago showroom is a 1970 Dodge Charger R/T. The Dodge Charger B-Body was made from 1966 – 1978 and in 1970 this Sub Lime Mopar was ordered from the Chrysler Corporation, built at the St. Louis Assembly Plant and delivered to California. After traveling just 31,177 miles from new it has made its way to our Chicago showroom and it is a pleasure to have it. Accompanying the vehicle are the original owners manual, warranty book, build sheet and MSRP label showing delivery to Atlantic Dodge in East Los Angeles. This was a special order from new as verified on the MSRP label and by the build sheet.

Under the hood is the original Magnum 440 with 4 barrel carburetor and original A727 Torqueflite 3-Speed automatic transmission backed up to a 8 ¾” Axle with 3:23 Gear Ratio. In 1970 the Charger had only minor changes to the overall style including a more attractive taillight assembly, large wrap-around rear bumper, high back bucket seats and electric-powered headlight doors (replacing those pesky vacuum-powered ones). The R/T models came with new rear-facing scoops with the R/T logo mounted on the front doors as well as over the door scallops. A complete frame off restoration was completed approximately 1,000 miles ago and looks fantastic. The original shade of Sub Lime paint looks amazing in contrast to the black bumblebee strip and black vinyl roof.
