This is a low production number being 346 of the total 704,900 Impalas produced in 1962. This particular vehicle is believed to have been part of the original ’62 model unveiling and was kept under a canvas cover at the dealer until the ‘62s were introduced to the public. What makes this vehicle all the more special is that the current owner has had the vehicle in heated storage for the past 17 years and this Impala has only clocked 33,072 miles since it was first delivered off the showroom floor in 1961. The car maintains the original interior, carpeting, floor mats, convertible top, sales slip, owners manual, convertible top care book and even the original trunk liner and Impala floor mats. Included with this vehicle is a very scarce dealer showroom order book that you would be able to look at prior to placing your order for a new ’62.
