For sale in our Chicago showroom is a 1967 Buick GS 400. This red over black beauty is just the ticket to make all of those Chevelle and Corvette owners bitter with envy. In keeping up with the muscle car hype of the mid '60's Buick introduced the Grand Sport on the Skylark in 1965 and by 1967 it became its own stand alone model. The new 401 cubic inch "400" engine replaced the obsolete nailhead motor and the 340 horsepower got this vehicle up and moving with little effort. The introduction of the Super Turbine (Turbo Hydramatic) transmission provided true driving pleasure with seamless shifting.
This Buick is like going back in time thanks to a full frame off restoration completed in 2009 that retained many original features of the car. The black bucket seats and most interior components are believed to be original and the radio and factory air conditioning . The black vinyl roof looks fantastic against the bright ready body panels and the exterior is finished off perfectly with Buick MAG wheels and redline tires.
