For sale in our Chicago showroom is a classic 1926 Ford Model T. By 1926 the Iconic Model T had been refined from the original crank-only basic horseless carriage of 1909 to a more practical and easier to drive vehicle for the masses. Henry Ford was a stubborn man and insisted that all Model Ts be painted black but after 1925 allowed for some additional colors including this medium tan accented with black fenders. This particular Model T was once part of the famous collection of Floyd Moore who was a Vice President of the Ford motor Company. This Tin Lizzy is mostly the way it left the Ford Motor Company Fabled assembly line. This car retains all of the original nickel plating as well as the original paint. What are the chances of finding another Model T with original paint? This car did have a mechanical rebuild in the 1970's and has been driven sparingly since then. The original 4 cylinder comes to life with the electric starter and cruises nicely. New parts include a battery and new tires. The wood floors appear to be original and were recycled by Ford builders out of old engine crates. One optional accessory on this Model T is the Night Hawk spotlights by Glassmobile.
