Available in our Chicago Showroom is this stunning 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air. The Bel Air was the most luxurious of the fill-size Chevrolets in 1957, and this one has been modified to make it even better. Where there would normally be a small bloc 265 CID engine now resides a small block 383 CID engine with much more grunt. It is outfitted with dual-quad carburetors, Dougs headers, full stainless steel custom exhaust, chrome fuel pump, chrome alternator, polished A/C compressor, aluminum radiator, and a billet overflow tank squeezing out a very potent 450hp. Power is then transferred through a TH-400 transmission with a shift kit and controlled with a B&M Hammer shifter. Power is put to the wheels through a Ford 9 inch unit packing 3.73 gears and a big drum brake kit. The front of the car is kept planted with the help of Jim Rogers front suspension, including tubular A arms, a rack and pinion steering setup, and disc brakes. The interior is truly one-of-a-kind with most of its components being donated from a Chrysler 300, including front and rear leather seats. All of this is sitting on brand new sheet metal floors, and wrapped in brand new sheet metal doors, fenders, and quarter panels. The power, tinted windows will keep you cool on warmer days, and the ice-cold Vintage Air system will keep you comfortable on the hot days.
