In 1964 Pontiac was certainly ahead of the game and produced some of the most beautiful vehicles with a great deal of attention to detail. Interestingly enough the name Catalina comes from the California island and Ventura is also a city in California. The overall quality and luxury of this vehicle is evident by such things as the translucent steering wheel and two-tone vinyl seating surfaces with embroidered Pontiac crest. The389 Cubic Inch V8 is fed via a Tri-Power setup that gets this Catalina up and moving with no hesitation. The 4-Speed transmission makes this full size car a blast to drive.
The bright white over paint looks great in contrast to the copper colored hardtop and is nicely accented with all of the shiny chrome you would expect from a 1960's cruiser. Options on this classic ’64 include Power Steering, Power Brakes, Two-tone seating surfaces, Oil pressure gauge and tachometer and AM/FM Cassette stereo. One turn of the key and this 389 fires right up and is ready to move. New parts on this classic Pontiac include front and rear bumbers re-chromed, new weather stripping, converted points ignition, new front windshield and new carpet.
