For sale in our Chicago showroom is a stunning black 1958 Cadillac Fleetwood. The Cadillac line has always been known for classy and sometimes over-the-top design and styling but by the late '50's Cadillac took things to a much higher level and this one is no exception. Styling was at an all time zenith and at any angle this car is very impressive. The huge front chrome bumper is accented with a intricate grill adorned with little bullets and a gold-toned Cadillac Crest in between the dual headlights. Chrome trim on the upper fenders leads back to the chrome windshield surround and of course no shortage of chrome on the huge side panels. This car is certainly over-the-top with chrome adornment and exactly what you would expect from the flagship line in 1958. Slender high-raised tail fins sweep up above the massive quarter panels giving an almost gothic look to this classy automobile.

This particular vehicle has no shortage of factory options including air conditioning, autronic eye, power windows, power seat, and the ultra-rare air ride suspension usually reserved for the Eldorado Brougham and Biarritz. The period-correct 364 cubic inch V8 starts right up and runs very nice and smooth producing 283 Horsepower and 382 lbs. ft. of torque. Theoretically this car was capable of a top speed of 113 miles per hour thanks in part to the rugged and smooth 4-speed Hydramatic transmission. This was quite an innovative car of the time having many features commonly found on cars today. ]The entire air suspension system was recently rebuilt removing out-dated troublesome parts with more modern and reliable replacements. Recent mechanical work has been completed to make this car very road-worthy and she cruises nicely at highway speeds

Inside you will notice no shortage of luxury with huge comfortable seating for up to 6 grown adults. The elaborate brocade seating surfaces are period correct replacements and there is no shortage of chrome even on the dash board. Many original features like loop-pile carpeting and the huge steering wheel with horn ring really take you back to the classic '50's. The rear seating has plenty of legroom something completely absent in modern sedans. The rear seat back also features a storage pouch for all of your vintage periodicals.
