1957 Ford Fairlane

For sale in our Chicago showroom is a snow white 1957 Ford Fairlane Club Sedan. The year 1957 Ford Fairlane was in its second generation and Ford must have hit the mark because it was the first time since 1935 that they outsold Chevrolet. The Fairlane Club Sedan was one of the nicest looking Fords out of the 20+ models available that year and this one really stands out! The Colonial White and Flame red are matching to the ID plate along with a white and red vinyl interior. From top to bottom this car just screams 1950's and is a very fine example of a highly sought after car. The lower rear fins along with the classic round taillights and huge chrome bumpers make this car stand out wherever you are. The front end styling is equally impressive with headlight "eyebrows", a nice clean grill and wrap-around front bumper that continues on all the way to the front wheel wells. The red painted wheels with full hub caps and wide white wall tires look great and keep with the red and white color scheme.

Under the hood that opens from the cowl upwards you will find a period correct 312 Cubic Inch "Thunderbird" V8 that is very clean and properly done with nice emblems and paintwork. This engine put out an impressive 245 horsepower getting this car moving without any hesitation. The V8 not only looks great but also starts very easy and runs nice and strong. The Ford-O-Matic transmission was known for its smooth shifting and reliability and this one is no exception. This car is remarkably comfortable and easy to drive and even the clock still runs.

The interior of this '57 Classic is finished in two-tone red and white to match the exterior and is a clear throw back to a time of slicked back hair and poodle skirts. Of course no 1950's classic would be complete without a large plastic steering wheel with horn ring and center medallion. There is a very nice CD player secretly tucked away in the glovebox and the fuzzy dice are thown in at no additional charge. This car was affectionately nick-named Betty Boop by the previous owner and the name seems to fit the cars personality perfectly.
