For sale in our Chicago showroom is one very nice and original 1972 Dodge Challenger. This number matching Mopar is a very nice and well preserved original still retaining most of the original paint and interior. The mileage of 74,514 is also believed to be original as is the side "strobe" strip and vinyl top. The 340 with a 4bbl carb starts right up and is very strong. The original numbers matching transmission was replaced with a TCI Streetfighter but is included in the sale as is the original carb and manifold that was replaced with an Edelbrock manifold and a Holley 650 Dual Pumper.

As you pop the hood you are greeted by a very nicely kept engine compartment complete with orange air cleaner and the factory air conditioning compressor. This car retains all of the original sheet metal and is in a remarkable survivor state. It's very easy to tell from looking at the interior that this car that it was pampered from day one. Even the original radio still works as does the seat belt warning buzzer and all lights and signals.

Cars can be restored multiple times but they are only original once. This car makes a great driver and the 340 engine is known for being extremely reliable and very well built for the time. A dual timing chain helped to improve top end engine RPM and is known to Mopar lovers today as one of the best smaller V8s to have been produced at the time.
