Vinyl InteriorFor sale in our Chicago showroom is a very solid 1978 Chevrolet Camaro Z28. This is the second generation of Camaros that began production in 1967 and has been a popular American muscle car ever since. Today these cars are prized by enthusiasts for their short stance, wide and long front ends and classic '70's styling. This particular example is finished in white with black vinyl bucket seats and a matte black hood with hood pins.
Under that sleek black hood you will find a 468 Cubic Inch V8 that features Generation V heads, WRW forged aluminum domed pistons, I-Beam Rods, full floating wrist pins, Cloyes double roller timing chain, comp cam 540 Intake 540 exhaust 262 duration, Comp Cam roller rocker arms, Comp Cam lifters, Comp Cam push rods, shaved and ported polished heads, AMP bolts, a 7 quart oil pan, Edelbrock intake and Edelbrock 1407 series performer carb. All of that power flows back from the Jegs long tube headers to Magnaflow mufflers with x-crossing exhaust.
Cooling off this big block is an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. All of this work was completed in September 2012 and has not traveled many miles since then. A new suspension with Polyurethane bushings and rear air shocks were added and the Cragar wheels with Firestone Firehawk tires look fantastic against the shiny white paint.
The interior displays mostly original equipment including the original working radio and a Z-28 steering wheel wrapped with a rope grip that is a clear throw back to the 1920's and 1930's racers of the time. From top to bottom this car shows very well and all of the door seals and plastic components look very nice.
