The Allante had a short production run and manufactured roughly 21,000 units in the 7 years these fantastic automobiles were created with only 1,931 being produced for 1992 making this a very scarce rag-top.

Unlike all other Cadillac's of the time this vehicle had custom coachwork done by Pininfarina in Turin Italy that also created the body for the 1959 Eldorado Brougham. This was not an easy process of simply hiring the designers to come to Detroit but rather sending over portions of the car to Turin. A special rack was created to hold 2 bodies at a time that were loaded into 1 of 3 special Boeing 747's capable of carrying 56 total cars across the Atlantic Ocean and then back again for final assembly.

Now onto the goods of this particular example. This Euro Red over black example has been owned by one family since new after being purchased from the showroom floor of Steve Foley Cadillac on April 9, 1992. In the 24 years this car has been on the road it has only been serviced at Steve Foley Cadillac and still retains the original service manual, original cassette and CD for the Gold Standard Cadillac introduction and both sets of the gold-plated keys.

This car features options almost unheard of at the time including a full digital speedometer, digital tachometer, Digital Climate Control, System monitoring check, driver greeting message, 8-way power adjustable Recaro leather bucket seats, console shifter, cruise control, Delco-Bose AM/FM Stereo with Cassette and CD player and Symphony Sound, remote trunk release with automatic closing, center-mounted brake light and center console storage.
