Originally a base Skylark with a smaller displacement engine and column shifted automatic, this vehicle was nothing more than a casual cruiser. The builder of the vehicle wasn’t satisfied having it “average†and wanted to take the vehicle to the next level. The original power plant was removed and a 454 big block Chevrolet engine was put in its place. The 454 makes plenty of power and bellows a throaty rumble when you step on the go-pedal. The hood-mounted tachometer keeps tabs on the engine speed while you keep an eye on the road. Keeping the engine in its powerband is a turbo-400 3-speed automatic transmission.
Sporting disc brakes up front and a horseshoe console shifter, this is a true sporty classic.
