The restyling of these cars was substantially different from its predecessor. Although they were an inch longer, they shaved weight off of them and eliminated the option for a big block. This Cougar came from the factory with the base optioned 351 cubic inch V8 and an automatic transmission. Over the years the car was repainted, the engine tuned up, and the interior was reupholstered using a very comfortable and stylish vinyl with cloth inserts. Once you get behind the wheel of this classic Mercury and drop it into gear, you will be amazed at how well the car still rides after all of these years. The power steering makes easy work of the twists and turns as the suspension soaks up every bump.
