The introduction of the Bel Air two door hardtop marked a big change in how Chevrolet defined sports cars. Until the 1950 Chevrolet Bel Air Hard Top, the serious sporting types went for Convertibles. The 1950 Chevrolet Styleline Deluxe Bel Air hardtop in 1950 redefined sporty closed models. Sporting a blue and white exterior this car retains it’s classic styling at first glance. Open the hood and you’ll realize there has been many updates made to make this car more drivable on any road. Firstly the inline 230 cubic inch engine has been replaced with a rebuilt 292CI six cylinder giving the car some extra torque. Helping get the extra power to the ground is a freshly rebuilt TH-350 automatic transmission. Underneath the engine compartment you will find the rack and pinion steering setup from a Mustang II making steering this car an absolute breeze. Complimented by the brand new Ididit steering column topped off with a Lecarra steering wheel. An all new wiring harness including a 5 in 1 gauge cluster have been installed to help power everything. Stopping power is achieved by the disc brakes. Furthermore both the front and rear suspension has been rebuilt and upgraded with aftermarket components. New exhaust from front to rear help round out the package of this updated version of a classic Bel Air.
