For sale in our Denver showroom is a 1967 Dodge Coronet 2 hardtop. This blue beauty has had an extensive rebuild. The list includes: 1969 440 CI with less than 400 miles since rebuild, steel forged crank, 906 heads, Elgin pro-stock hydraulic cam, Edelbrock dual plane Performance RPM intake, 750 CFM Edelbrock carb, Heddman Elite 1 ¾” headers, 3” collectors, rebuilt 727 transmission, 11 ¾ low stall torque converter, Transgo TF-2 shift kit, Torque Flite kickdown cable kit, B&M Pro-Ratchet shifter, MSD Pro-Billet distributor, 4 pin electronic ignition, radiator and custom fan shroud, rebuilt posi 8 ¾ rear end, new brake lines, master cylinder, wheel cylinders, new windshield, new dash pad, custom center console, new weather stripping, Phantom gauges. This Coronet R/T tribute is a blast to drive, especially with the big 440 under the hood. The Coronet reappeared for the 1965 model year as the intermediate sized B-body using a 117-inch wheelbase. The fifth generation of the Coronet lasted from 1965-1970. For 1965, Dodge sold slightly over 209,000 units, making the Coronet the most popular model sold by Dodge that year. Trim levels initially were base Coronet including a Deluxe version, Coronet 440 and Coronet 500.

The Coronet R/T was available as a two-door hardtop or convertible. Standard engine was Chrysler's largest, the 440-cid V-8, it was tweaked to 375 bhp and christened the Magnum. The only other engine option was the 426-cid Hemi, now in its second year and again rated at 425 bhp. It added $908. Transmission choices were Mopar's excellent heavy-duty three-speed TorqueFlite automatic or a four-speed manual.
