Gateway Classic Cars of Denver is proud to offer this jaw dropping 1969 Chevrolet Camaro COPO Clone. Over the years, COPO has become synonymous with Chevys monster-displacement Camaros. Its a term that is still used today by Chevrolet for the purpose-built drag racing Camaros, which are released year after year, just 69 units at a time. But what does COPO really mean? An acronym for Central Office Production Order, COPO was the method used by dealers in the know who could use it to order options, or a combination of options, that werent specifically listed on the order forms. The most famous use was when dealers used the COPO system to circumvent GMs 400-cu-in limit on anything that wasnt a full-size car or a Corvette. If you knew what dealers to go to and who to talk to, you could have used the COPO system to order a factory installed 427 in a 1969 Camaro or Chevelle. Now this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro COPO Clone is something different. Built with the image and performance of a COPO in mind but the basic comforts of a working heater not forgotten, yes this does have a working heater. This 1969 Camaro is Powered by a 427 Big Block and backed up by a 4 Speed Manual transmission this combination really has the horsepower to back up the COPO name and it will probably stop a little better than one with Power Disc Brakes up front. A stunning mirror black on the outside with a matching Vinyl Top really makes this Camaro pop and white seats on the inside keep you from burning up on the hot summer days. Sweet sweet big block humming is all youll hear while going down the road being that this Camaro is equipped with the Radio Delete Kit. At the street, track or show this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro COPO Clone is a sight for sore eyes.
