The Super Bee was a muscle car solely marketed by Dodge through the years 1968 - 1971. Due to the large name recognition of the past, Chrysler brought back the Super Bee name in 2007. For the 1970 model, the Super Bee received a redesign and a new front-end that consisted of a twin-looped front bumper that Dodge Public Relations referred to as "bumble bee wings". By this time muscle car sales were dipping due to increased insurance rates which subsequently makes this Super Bee a rare catch. Looking through the hood scoops you'll catch a glimpse of the powerful 440 CID V8 big block engine backed by a 727 TorqueFlite automatic transmission. The engine was professionally built with attention detail in mind: aluminum Performer RPM Edelbrock cylinder heads, Holley Pro-jection Fuel Injection system, electronic ignition, and more! Talk about reliable horsepower from a vintage muscle car! The stout 727 transmission was rebuilt just a few hundred miles ago and shifts strong yet smooth. The transmission is backed by an 8 3/4 rear-end with 3.91 sure grip gears. Other details include: front disc brakes, flex blade fan, performance M1 single plane intake manifold, Hooker Super Competition ceramic headers, heavy duty torsion bars, and Super Stock leaf springs. Looking inside the time capsule interior you'll notice a nice black vinyl/cloth split bench paired with black carpet and an updated AM/FM/CD/MP3 radio. This classic Mopar sounds as good as she looks!
