Ford designed the Thunderbird as a competitor to the Corvette. The first generation Thunderbird was produced between 1955-1957. It was a hit for Ford as it sold 16,155 cars the first year to Corvette only selling 700. For 1957 Ford reshaped the front bumper, had a larger grille, and larger tail lamps, and revised instrument panel. This car is powered by the 312 CID V8 paired with the Ford-O-Matic 2 speed transmission. The red paint pairs excellent with the white hard top and red interior. Sitting in the driver's seat, you will be impressed with the condition of the car. This car is perfect for driving with the top down and the wind in your hair.
