The 1963 model was essentially unchanged save for some freshening and added trim; windshields were re-shaped and a four-door hardtop 500/XL was added. In the 60's the Galaxie was viewed as an affordable mid-sized sedan that the working class could easily obtain and used as a nice cruising vehicle. This particular Galaxie is a great example of a survivor car. The gorgeous black paint still shows excellent, especially when the bright sun hits it. The bright red interior is all original to the car. The red bench seat up front supplies ample comfortability when driving. The large gauges not only provide much needed information for the driver but they also provide a very elegant look. Powering this great classic is the original 352 CID motor that comes equipped with a brand-new carburetor. Getting this Galaxie through the gears is a smooth shifting 3-speed automatic transmission.
