Introduced with the Old's 98 and Cadillac Series 62 as top of the line drop tops. Buick selling 1690 units was by far with a list price of in excess of $5000. The car was pretty much hand-made with the hood trunk lid and a portion of the convertible top were handmade, all the tubs were mainly finished with lead filler a practice outlawed in today's car world. After a ten-year break from the line up Buick brought back the skylark as a standalone model. This beautiful super original well-maintained Skylark runs extremely well with the original 300 cubic inch Wildcat V8 Buick engine is still under the hood which looks amazing under there. The 2-speed turbine transmission is all original and all Buick as well. The interior on this original 65 drop top is unbelievably clean. The vinyl is extremely clean with no tears or stains. The dash is clean with all gauges working and the convertible top switch located there as well. The top looks to be newer and shows very well.
