This example carries the stout 5.7 liter motor, which is a step up from the anemic 305 that was standard on the firebird of this year. Rated at 235 hp and 340 lbs of torque this Firebird Formula 350 has a better power to weight ratio than the Trans-am of the same year because it was 300 lbs lighter. The vehicle has also been upgraded to the WS6 High performance suspension.
In 1990 the Firebird came with a lot of great equipment standard. Necessities like A/C, AM/FM/Cassette stereo, power steering, power brakes, power door locks, power windows, tilt wheel and drivers airbag. The 350 cid motor is mated to a 700r4 transmission and that run into a limited slip differential with posi-traction. This a Bird will fly. The past owner also did a great job keeping up with the maintenance of this car as well. Replaced parts include: new gas struts for the rear hatch and hood, new battery, replacement antifreeze overflow bottle, new radiator cp, various hoses and clamps, New idler tension pully and the headlight actuator motors have been replaced. These little things really start to add up and anyone can be confident that this car was well taken care of.
