For sale in our Detroit showroom is this stunning 1972 Chevy C/10 longbed pickup. These second-generation trucks were the beginning of a very important milestone in Chevrolet vehicle production, as trucks were beginning to be offered with improved interior options and drivetrain packages, to add a new level of comfort and convenience to trucks that were previously only used as work vehicles for commercial purposes. This particular truck has been meticulously restored to like-new condition, and taken a few steps further with some wild additions to make it a blast to cruise around in and present at shows! The quality of the build begins with the incredible Twilight Metallic Blue paint that really shines out in the sunlight. While not immediately noticeable from a quick glance, the frame has been sandblasted and painted, so this truck looks as good underneath as it does on the outside. The beautiful look continues once you open the doors, where you’ll find a custom seat cover, Grant steering wheel, and a Pioneer stereo with external amplifier. Rather than a stock engine, when you lift the hood, you’ll find a monstrous 502 cubic-inch, high-output GM performance parts crate engine with only 2,500 miles on it, backed by a 4L80e 4-speed automatic transmission. All that tire-destroying power is routed through Hooker Super Comp ceramic coated headers, which exit through Flowmaster mufflers, cranking out a sound better than any stereo system could ever produce! Once you get over the shock of the wild powerplant, the finer details begin to stand out, like the powder coated engine accessory brackets and pulleys, radiator core support, and even the wheel wells! Rolling stock consists of BF Goodrich tires, mounted on Weld Racing 15x8 Drag Lite wheels, turned by 3.73 gears with an Auburn limited slip from Drive Train Specialists. Out back, you’ll find what is arguably the coolest part of the truck, which comes in the form of an oak wood bed, divided by polished stainless steel skid strips and hardware. Options on this truck include: AM/FM radio, cassette, power brakes, power steering, seat belts, cloth & vinyl interior, and radial tires on racing wheels. Wherever you look, it is evident that no expense was spared with this restoration.
