Gateway Classic Cars of Detroit is proud to present this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS, Baldwin Motion tribute for purchase. This impeccable build is a salute to one of the finest and rare muscle cars of the true muscle car era. GM corporate edict did not allow Chevrolet from installing engines larger than 396 ci; however, a few dealers were installing 427ci V8's to the point where it caused Chevrolet to use an order process normally reserved for fleet and special orders. Two Central Office Production Orders (COPO) were offered in the 1969 model year. This build is the result of much investment and remarkable effort to make this car as exact a COPO match as possible. The result is astounding in accuracy, condition, and performance. This car was purchased in 1997 in Kentucky as a vewy nice stock RS/SS survivor before the work began on this beauty to turn it into this immaculate Baldwin Motion COPO tribute.

This 1969 RS/SS COPO tribute is powered by a 427ci V8 4-bolt engine (3963512 casting number, dated Nov. 9th, 1968) and built by White's Performance in Kingsford, Tennessee in 2013. It has an M22 Muncie Rock Crusher 4 Speed (dated January 1969) w/ a Hurst Shifter. It features original 12-bolt posi, Richmond 3:73 gears, heavy duty COPO 10/17 spider gears, L88/ZL1 crank, .070 over forged pistons, dimple rods, 840 heads, 163 factory Winters intake, Holley 4346 factory carburetor, dual 2000 cfm fan married to a large aluminum radiator by Superior Radiator, deep groove pulleys, Doug’s 2” ceramic coated long tube headers, 3” ceramic coated collectors, electric cut-outs, Magaflow 3” exhaust with x-pipe, new interior with all new gages, reproduction Endura front bumper, and COPO speedometer/tachometer (odometer showing 6,976 since restoration complete in 2000 – original speedometer has 47,657 miles), and power steering. There are so many other wonderful details to this amazing car as every little detail was investigated and implemented in this truly amazing tribute. You definitely will appreciate this beautiful build. Please call us at 313-982-3100 or email us at for more information.
