Vinyl InteriorGateway Classic Cars Dallas is excited to offer this show quality 1951 Willys Jeep Truck Restomod, Professionally built by Karl Performance in Ankeny, Iowa, she features a 406 Cubic inch Stroker V8 small block Chevrolet engine built by JR Motorsports, making 376HP and 469 ft/lbs of torque. The internals are Scat crank and rods, Sealed power pistons and camshaft. a New 700R4 overdrive transmission built by Advance Transmission with a 2500RPM lockup converter, a New interior with numerous custom touches, Aluminum turned dash, Moon gauges, Limeworks steering wheel and horn button, Military style seat belts, New disc brake and suspension components and Show quality Signal Gray paint. In the post-war era, this was one of Willy's most successful models, with over 300,000 produced. This was also the first Willys to have an independent front suspension. While the steel body may not be as desirable as the wood bodied cars to many people, they were easier to mass produce, easier to maintain, and most importantly safer than the previous lumber bodied pre-war cars. This particular Willys Jeep has been well restored and modified to make it a more formidable off-road vehicle. The work of the frame off restoration shows.
