1953 Chevrolet Bel Air

For sale in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom is a real beauty. This 1953 Chevrolet Bel Air has been shown an incredible amount of love and attention. The current owner found this vehicle on a trailer at a swap meet, and decided that the state of disrepair it was in was unacceptable. The electrical system was replaced entirely, and was converted to a 12 volt system for ease of repair and maintenance. New brakes, shocks and springs were installed. The car was lowered 2” in the process, giving it a much more streamline and modern look. Under the hood is what is believed to be the numbers matching engine and transmission. It has received a new water pump, alternator, remote oil filter, factory style replacement headers, and Offenhauser valve cover and dual carburetor intake. Not only does this baby blue Bel Air run great, but it looks great too. There is new glass throughout, except the windshield which was already in great shape. The bumpers and chrome grill are incredibly smooth and shine like diamonds in the sun. The lake pipes down the side, though non-functional, add a great period vibe to the vehicle, as do the fiesta hub caps. Moving around to the rear, you’ll notice that the trunk release has been smoothed, and is relocated inside the gas filler cap, giving the rear end a very seamless look. Again, more mirrored finish chrome can be found on the taillight bezels and rear bumper. The top is new, as are the lift cylinders and motor that move it. The current owner takes great care when operating the top to fold it correctly to keep it from creasing and cracking, and the condition of the rag top really does speak for itself. On the inside, there is plush new carpet and a clean white vinyl interior that perfectly finish off the look and feel of this car.
