Gateway Classic Cars of Dallas is excited to present a rarely seen 1988 Pontiac Fiero 5-Speed Manual! Powered by its 2.5L Iron Duke Inline 4, making 151HP, this Fiero was found in a barn in storage and allegedly has 18400 Miles, but that's hard to verify on a car that's been hidden away for so many years. the I4 is backed by a zippy 5-speed manual pushing the rear wheels in a very balanced chassis. The Red exterior paint is in great shape, the Gray cloth interior presents very well. The 1988 Fiero brought a new suspension design, with what they learned from the racing program. Upfront was revised control arms and knuckles that reduced steering effort and improved the scrub radius. At the rear, a tri-link suspension with all new knuckles was installed. Topping off the package where the new vented disc brakes at all four corners, which addressed braking. The four-cylinder engine received an in-pan oil filter element and balance shaft. 1988 marked the end of production for the Fiero. Improvements to suspension, brakes, steering, and improvements to the four-cylinder took the car to a level far beyond the 1984 model that had received much criticism. On August 16, 1988, the last Fiero rolled off the Pontiac, Michigan, plant line.
