1955 Chevrolet Bel Air

For sale in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom is the cream of the Tri-Five crop. This is the 1955 Bel Air that you want. Between 2001-2002 this Bel Air underwent a complete nut and bolt rotisserie restoration, but you would never know the restoration was over 10 years old looking at it. The body was completely sand blasted, and the undercarriage and frame were undercoated. To keep the NVH down, extensive Dynamat sound insulation was used on the floors, roof, doors and firewall. All of the glass and weather stripping are new, and all of the chrome trim was restored. Pop the big yellow hood, and you will find a four bolt main 383 Stroker, tricked out with aluminum heads, two four barrel carburetors, MSD electronic ignition, and an aluminum radiator with an electric fan. The under hood appearance is show ready with generous chrome accessories and braided hoses. Backing up this small block Chevy is a Richmond six speed manual transmission, spinning what are believed to be 4.11 Moser gears in a Ford 9” Daytona rear end. Sound is pumped out through Sanderson ceramic coated headers with electronic cut outs.

All that go is no good if you can’t use the power. That is why this car has a trick suspension setup including tubular A arms with 2 in. drop spindles, disc brakes up front, and Caltracks front and rear torsion bars. Tires are some all season Nitto NT450, 225 up front and 275 out back, set on 17 inch American Racing wheels.

Of course, with all of the work done outside you cannot leave the interior alone. There is complete new wiring throughout, a full custom leather interior, Dakota digital dash, a modern radio with six disc CD player, and Classic Auto Air A/C. The trunk was also treated to custom upholstery.
