1968 Chevrolet Camaro

For sale in our Dallas showroom is a beast of a Camaro. This Camaro was set up to dominate the 1/8th mile track. A 383 CID stroker V8 was built using top quality components, starting with a GM block that was bored .030 over stock a Scat stroker crank shaft was installed, Eagle connecting rods, and SRP pistons with Total Seal Rings were used. A Comp Cams 772 solid roller camshaft and Comp Cams solid roller lifters. The cylinder heads are AFR 195 cnc heads with .100 longer valves, Comp Cams Pro Magnum 1.6 roller rockers. Induction is handled with a custom AED 750 CFM Holley carburetor on top of an Edelbrock Victor Jr high rise aluminum intake manifold. Exhaust is sent through a set of Dynatech step headers with 1 5/8th inch primary tubes that step down to 1 3/4th inch and exiting through 3 inch 4 bolt collectors. It exits through 3 inch exhaust pipe and finishes through single chamber Flowmaster mufflers. All of this adds up to approximately The transmission was certainly not left out being and Phoenix turbo 400 3 speed automatic with a Phoenix 3500 rpm stall converter. A custom driveshaft was custom made with 1350 yokes for added strength. Finally the rear axle is a 1969 Camaro 12 bolt with 4:56 gears and a full spool for maximum traction. Gears are changed through a B&M ratchet shifter to prevent early gear changes. The interior is mostly original ’68 with a couple of changes in the gauges. The exterior was changed to red to black and Cragar SS wheels were installed for that nostalgic racer look. BFGoodrich radial TA’s were installed for street use as slicks would not be appropriate on un prepped asphalt. If you are looking for a ready to go racer, this is the perfect car for you.
