Powered by a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and finished in Dark Grey Metallic over a black and gray leather interior. Equipment includes a Saleen body kit and optional 15 braking system, Hard Backflip Bed Cover, chrome 23 wheels, a bed reg, air conditioning, cruise control, and an in-dash six-disc CD changer. Based on the Ford F-150, the S331 was modified by Saleen with a tailgate spoiler and unique bumper covers, tailgate trim, fender vents, and side skirts. This example is finished in Oxford White and features Saleen graphics on the lower doors and windshield, "137" numbering on the left side of the front bumper cover, a bed rug, a keyless entry pad, and dual exhaust outlets.
Chrome 23 Saleen wheels are wrapped in 305/40 General Grabber tires. The Racecraft suspension features Saleen-specific front coil springs and shocks in addition to revised rear shocks and leaf springs. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs with Saleen branded front calipers fitted over 15 slotted rotors. The truck features a 1,350-lb payload capacity.
The extended cab is trimmed in black and gray leather and features Saleen-branded floor mats, chrome vent bezels, and silver console panels. The Saleen logo is embroidered on the headrests of the front sports seats, and an S331 badge is located in front of the gear selector. Amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, an in-dash six-disc CD changer, a power-adjustable driver's seat, and a power-sliding rear window.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Saleen-branded instrumentation including a 120-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, voltage, and oil pressure. Two additional gauges mounted atop the dashboard display the supercharger's air temperature and boost level. The digital odometer indicates 9k miles.
The 5.4-liter V8 has been modified by Saleen with a 2.3L screw-type supercharger, an air-to-water intercooler, 39 lb/hr fuel injectors, a high-flow air inlet tube, and a "Powerflash" performance calibration. Saleen rated the engine at 450 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed 4R75E automatic transmission.
