1966 Pontiac Lemans

For sale in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom is a really awesome pro-touring set up 1966 Pontiac Lemans. This car has had a complete frame off restoration. While it was freed from the rest of the car, the frame was blasted, sealed, and painted black. Any rust on the body was repaired or replaced, and the body was stripped sealed and painted in GM Dark Gray Metallic. Comfort for cruising was the main focus, and the interior exemplifies this. The front seats are power seats from a 1996 Eldorado that have been recovered in a GM Active Red. A custom center console is covered in the same great red leather, and the trunk has custom panels to match at well. The dash, doors, and center console all have custom wood inserts that give the interior a very warm and homey feel. This interior is definitely a place where you will look forward to watching the miles roll by. Those miles will be rolling by quickly too, as this car doesn’t just look great, but as the power to back up the appearance. Under the hood, this Lemans is still a Pontiac at heart. A 400 from a 1969 Grand Prix powers this build. The engine was bored .030 over, balanced and blueprinted. The cylinder heads were machined, and there is an Edelbrock 800 CFM 4 barrel carburetor sitting atop a matching Edelbrock intake manifold. Keeping everything cool is a 4 row ALM radiator. This standout power plant spins a 700R4 4 speed automatic that runs out to a 2.78 open differential for effortless highway running. Of course, what good is all of the go, if there is no stopping power? That is why the front axle has been converted to disc brakes, and a large booster with a dual master reservoir was added to ensure confident braking power and feel. Going in a straight line is great, but what if you want to take some corners? Well, this Lemans has you covered. The suspension is all new including the bushings, shocks, springs, and control arms. The front and rear sway bars are also larger than stock, minimizing body roll when you throw this bad boy into a corner. This Lemans is the complete package.
