1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer 4x4 - Fully Restored
This 1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer was built by RustyK5, with a comprehensive body-off frame-off refurbishment, including a repaint in Hugger Orange with a white removable single-wall hardtop. The restoration is said to have included refinishing the chassis, overhauling the engine and differentials, refreshing the steering system, and replacing the bumpers, glass, exterior trim, wiring, and body components such as the rocker panels, rocker boxes, seals, and mounts. CST badging is present on the doors and glovebox.
White-finished 15 steel wheels with chrome hubcaps wear 3312.5 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires, and a Rough Country 4 suspension lift provides the truck's elevated stance. Additional work reportedly included replacement of the leaf springs, wheel bearings, brakes, and tie-rod ends, along with an overhaul of the steering gear and associated components.
The interior was refreshed with new carpeting, seat foam, and black vinyl upholstery on the front buckets and rear bench. Interior updates also included replacement gauge bezel, faux-wood trim, door hardware, vent windows, wiring harnesses, rear side panels, and a re-chroming of trim pieces. The air-conditioning system was rebuilt with a replacement compressor, condenser, lines, and hoses (A/C currently needs recharging). A Bluetooth-enabled RetroSound stereo has been added along with a JL Audio amplifier and subwoofers mounted beneath the rear seat.
A replacement two-spoke steering wheel and tilt column are fitted, and updated instrumentation includes a 100-mph speedometer, tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows just over 300 miles since the refurbishment, and true mileage is unknown.
Power comes from a rebuilt 350ci GM V8 paired with a smooth-shifting three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case sending power to the rear or all four wheels. The differentials were reportedly overhauled during the restoration, and the frame was refinished. Dual exhaust outlets complete the drivetrain setup.
This fully restored K5 Blazer features a padded roll bar, power steering, power brakes, dual exhaust, and vinyl seating. The truck retains its classic appearance while benefiting from modern touches and fresh mechanical work. It is offered with its refinished single-wall hardtop, an owner's manual, and a clean Texas title in the seller's name.
