For sale in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom is a beast of a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro. If this car was exactly what it appeared to be, an extremely clean SS 396, then it would be nothing to shake a stick at. However, this is nothing short of a wolf in a slightly smaller wolf’s clothing. The owner has told us that the last Hellcat that came across this Camaro can tell you what the taillights look like. Packing a 468 CID Big Block Chevy under the hood, you can see why we believe him. That monster is tricked out with aluminum cylinder heads with new valve covers, an Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake manifold, a new Holley carburetor, billet pullies, MSD ignition, and long tube headers. This monster runs through a TH350 with a B&M pan. We are not sure of the exact specs, but it has roughly a 2,500-2,800 stall converter. That transmission spins a one piece aluminum driveshaft, and a 10-bolt rear end with positrac gears. The rear end, obviously in need of some help, has a Hotchkis sway bar and traction bars. With great power comes great responsibility, to stop that is. That is why behind the fantastic Ralley wheels lie 4 wheel power disc brakes. Power steering rounds out the driver assists.

Inside, the interior has a custom yellow houndstooth interior that looks so good you would swear it was a factory option. The rest of the interior continues this near stock theme with RS style rally pack center console gauges. The Retro Auto Sounds radio keeps the factory look while bringing greater audio quality to the cabin. The Autometer tachometer is the only reminder that this Camaro has a nasty secret hiding under the hood.

Outside, the yellow paint was clearly a high quality job when done, and received a full wet sand and buff roughly a year ago. There are the few standard road blemishes, but overall this is a paint job that will snap necks and break hearts. If you are looking for the perfect street show and cruise Camaro, you will be hard pressed to find a better one than this. Call us before this beauty is gone.
