The current owner bought the car the first time in 1976 when he was 19 years old. He sold the Porsche in 1978 and moved to new projects. In 2005 a conversation lead to some information about the whereabouts of the car and the itch started. He bought the car back and started a restoration project. The car was reassembled in eight weeks and it was back to daily driving duties. The original engine that was thought to be long gone by a stroke of luck turned up in another conversation. Well that was purchased and sent to Lambert Racing engines to be gone through. Now the car sits as a numbers matching vehicle.
There are buckets full of information on this beauty and it includes just about every receipt from every dollar spent on it. This Porsche used to be Polo Red exterior which has changed a couple of times, most recently stripped to metal and repainted in silver. The sunroof is a rare electric sunroof option that only about 10% of the 911s received. There is even a hidden iPod connection and speakers if you need music other than that awesome flat 6.
