This model included the Luxus or “L†package (upgrades such as twin map pockets, dual rear ashtrays, full carpeting, a passenger-side visor vanity mirror, and rubber bumper moldings). The rear-mounted, air-cooled 1600cc engine, which produced 60 efficient, German horsepower also featured twin-port cylinder heads and a larger, relocated oil cooler. Visibility was increased in the 1972 Beetle with the 11% enlargement of the rear window. This particular Super Beetle wears a fully repainted coat of blue on the outside, which is matched with a sleek, black interior. Working headlights with brights, turn signals, parking lights, brake lights, and wipers can be found around the car, along with the radio and clock on the inside.
