Ah yes, the 1970's, when Disco was King and cars were big. This sharp Cougar is no exception, and it has been well loved by the original owner since new. The exterior looks great in the cat-like Black respray, and the custom wheels set it apart, giving it an extra sporty look. Looking down that long hood while cruising down the road is a constant reminder of this substantial automobile.
The interior is well above average, and the gray is a very nice contrast to the black exterior. These are comfortable cruisers, well equipped with tilt wheel, power windows, power locks, power steering, power brakes, and air conditioning. There is an AM/FM Stereo by Custom Auto Sound, and with any luck, John Travolta, AC/DC, the Bee Gees and The Cars will still be singing their songs.
The engine bay looks nice. The 351 V8 was rebuilt 12,000 miles ago, as was the 3-speed automatic transmission. A polished aluminum Professional Products intake, Edelbrock Performer AFB style 4BBl carburetor, finned aluminum valve covers & air cleaner finish it off. Breathing is made easier by dual exhaust.
This vehicle has been garage kept since new and was obviously well loved to be held on to for 42 years! The seller provided a narrative of what was done over the years.
