The Volvo P1800 had received a major publicity boost in the early 60's when a white 1962 Volvo P1800 was driven by Simon Templar, played by Roger Moore, and it was featured prominently in the hit TV series The Saint beginning that year and throughout the entire run of the show. Roger Moore was reportedly so smitten with the Volvo P1800 that he bought one for his own personal use. Volvos are known for being overbuilt high quality automobiles, and one owner proved that fact very well. A gentleman in New York owns a 1966 1800S which has covered over 3,000,000 miles!
