Although it appeared it was a lot smaller than the 8th generation that was not the point. It was all about the new style that Ford was going with something called aerodynamic. This was a whole new design aspect that had never been thought about until now. The Thunderbird would be a success but not quite over night. Not until 1986 did the model get to what you see here and the most sought after of all. This 86 is a rare bird to say the least. The car has only been owned by 2 people in its 30 years making it very collectible. Add to that the car only has less than 17500 miles making it an extremely pampered car. The V6 engine is in excellent shape with it recently having a full tune up including all fluids flushed and filled. The mufflers ofcourse had seen better days so those were replaced giving this T Bird a great smooth sound. Naturally the tires had tread but no one wants to drive on 30 year old tires so a fresh set has been installed making this a true turnkey car. Even the AC has been converted over to the R134 and works without a hitch. With the 80's cars coming up in value this could be a great investment or even a great car to drive and enjoy.
