The Malibu Classic package replaced the Laguna package as the top of the line trim in 1976. The 1976 Malibu Classic can be identified by its unique arrangement of four square headlights surrounding the grille.
This two-owner classic is powered by a rebuilt 350cu in engine mated to a rebuilt 3-speed automatic transmission. The owner was very attentive to this car’s stance making sure it sits just right, installing all of the appropriate suspension components. To ensure the Malibu drove well, the owner installed a new exhaust, a new aluminum radiator, and a new rear sway bar.
Finding these Malibus is becoming more and more difficult. Especially finding one that runs and drives this well. If you’re looking for a classic Chevy that is an excellent driver, you’ve found it!
