Radial TiresFor sale in our Fort Lauderdale showroom is a rare 1987 BMW M6. This 1987 BMW M6 is powered by a 3.5L S38 inline-six engine that is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. It spent 21 years with the previous owner, a BMW enthusiast and mechanic. An exterior repaint, and interior color change have since taken place. The previous owner has added approximately 10k miles. The car is optioned with a rear cooler and air conditioning. Modifications include the installation of springs and shocks in place of the original SLS system as well as a set of 17″ Style 5 wheels. Maintenance was performed by the previous owner’s personal shop. In 2015 a new radiator and rear evaporator were installed as well as a recent valve adjustment and oil change. The car was repainted its original Black (Schwarz-086) in 2010 and has reportedly been garage kept since. Aluminum surfaces on the North American-market bumpers have been painted. The car has been well maintained, including a new radiator and powder coated exhaust manifold in 2015. A valve adjustment and oil change were performed in March 2018. The instrument cluster was replaced at 126k miles due to a faulty temperature gauge. The replacement odometer currently shows 40k miles. The total mileage on the M6 is 130k miles. A beautiful example of a rare BMW M6. Values on M6’s are constantly increasing from year to year. Now they are still affordable but who knows how long before they become a six-figure collectible car.
