1965 Ford Galaxie

Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to offer up this super awesome 1965 Ford Galaxie 500. Between the sharp lines and the healthy powerplant, this car is sure to be a hit on cruise night.

Under the hood of this beauty is a 352 CID V8 engine that runs well and provides plenty of pull that one might not expect from such a large car. The engine is kept cool by a relatively new aluminum radiator and is fed through a new 600 CFM Edelbrock carburetor. Adding some flash to the engine are chrome Edelbrock valve covers. Sending the power to the rear end is a three-speed automatic transmission that shifts smoothly through the gears. The handling of this car has been greatly improved thanks to new suspension components replaced a few months ago. When it comes time to bring this beast of a car to a stop, the driver will appreciate the power Willwood disc brakes up front. Overall, the powertrain of this car is solid with plenty of power for what the car is.

Upon entering the beautiful spacious cabin, the driver will be greeted by a red interior that has redone door panels. The seats are comfortable and in good condition also. If the driver ever tires of the sound of the big V8, the equipped radio will provide and enjoyable audio experience. Keeping with the dark and classy look of this beauty, the rear windows are tinted very dark. This will help keep the interior cooler and comfortable in the summer months. Continuing with comfort, the car features power brakes and power steering to assist the driver. Overall, the interior of this car is in good condition.

Moving outward, the exterior of the vehicle is finished in a classic black paint which shows well with good depth. The paint has some swirl marks and very minor scratches, but with a detail and buffing, this car will shine, and the paint will look almost new! Supporting each corner of the car are American Racing wheels wrapped in Cooper tires with plenty of tread life left in them. Overall this is a sweet car that holds enormous potential to be restored, resto-modded, or left alone the way it is!
