This T-Bird has been with 3 owners, originally coming from a dealership in San Jose, California. the original owner who bought it in 56 moved to Austin, Texas in 1971,in which he sold it to owner #2 shortly after arriving in Texas. The current owner purchased the car in 1983 and has now owned it for going on 37 years. It has been well kept for that period; the exterior paint was done in 2013 with a Fiesta Red color.
This T-Bird is powered by a 312 CID V8 with a 3-Speed Manual. with 37,663 actual miles on this Thunderbird. From January of 1986 to 2012 this car was parked in a barn which preserved its true beauty of this bird. When the vehicle was resurrected 2012-2013 there was some restoration work completed. The carburetor, water pump, generator, radiator, master cylinder and wheel cylinder were all rebuilt. The fuel pump was fully replaced within the same time period.
In 1956 Ford made a change in the T-birds, to allow more visibility they added the "porthole" on the removable hardtop. As good as this car looks with the hardtop on, you will be very pleased with cruising in this T-Bird with the top off. This vehicle does have the red and white interior with a telescopic steering wheel. You will also have a moment to step back in time with its AM only Radio.
