Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to offer this 1973 Volkswagen Dune Buggy. This thing is ready for fun and get some attention at your next ASTROS game. Starting with the exterior, this Manx style Buggy for sale features the beloved ASTROS Orange and the legendary Biggio #7 decal on the side. Other additions include chrome headlights, LED light bar, turn signals and taillights, off road bumpers front and rear, and chrome Pacer wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich All Terrain tires. The body is sitting on a full length 1973 Beetle H frame that has not been cut down like most Buggy frames. Giving her rigidity is a 6-point roll cage that has been powder coated to match the tube bumpers.

Powering this buggy is a built up 1,915 CC engine with all new parts including a mild cam, new double barrel Weber carburetor, rebuilt heads, Flame Thrower distributor, Pertronix 3 ohm 40,000 volt coil, 7mm Flame Thrower plug wires, electric fuel pump, oil cooler, high torque starter, new alternator, serpentine belt system, extra deep oil pan, high flow oil pump, external oil filter, chrome tins, and ceramic coated stinger exhaust.

Inside is two Astro blue seats made of marine grade leather that cradle you, while VDO gauges let you keep an eye on the engine vitals. New suspension with adjustable front beams, new shocks, and all new steering hardware make for a nice ride. Other new parts include: gas tank, fuel lines, marine grade gas fill cover, turn signals, LED lights, horn, head lights, 4 wheel disc brakes, brake lines, rotors, master cylinder, rebuilt transaxle, wheels, tires, wheel bearings, all wiring, marine fuse box, battery, marine grade battery box, tow bar, diamond plate tool box and more! To give you an idea of the lengths that were gone through to make this car right, the wiring was all soldered and covered in heat shrink, completed with quick disconnect so that you can take off the hood, or entire body with simply electrical disconnects. All wiring is also run through conduit to protect from weather and wear from front to back. This Buggy is also wired to be pulled behind a vehicle with a tow bar, and electrical connection for towing.
