Gateway Classic Cars Houston showroom is excited to present this sleek black 1970 Chevrolet Camaro. These 2nd gen Camaros are getting hot, and this one is ready to rock! Sporting that gorgeous "Split Bumper" look, with a billet grille and Halo-equipped LED headlights, this 1970 Camaro kicks the look up a notch. The drivetrain comes courtesy of Texas LS Motors of Tomball, TX, who supplied the rebuilt 5.3L LSx engine with Stage 3 cam, and its "power transfer partner", a rebuilt 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission. The 5.3 and 4L60E came from the same vehicle and were rebuilt together for the application. Other under hood enhancements include a giant aluminum radiator with twin electric fans to keep things cool, and cold air intake. A set of stainless shorty headers funnel the exhaust gases into the dual exhaust system. Out back, the 10-bolt rear has a set of 3.42:1 gears and hosts 30 spline axles and a limited slip differential. This black beauty rides on some low-profile performance radials (P255/35-18 up front, P275/35-20 out back), which are wrapped around a set of Foose aluminum wheels. One doesn't have to look too closely to see the 4-wheel disc brake setup behind the Foose mags. The brake setup has been enhanced by the addition of a Master Power electric air pump, which helps overcome the reduced vacuum that resulted from the lumpy cam and provides plenty of assist for the power brakes. The interior has been redone with some vintage style updates and modern touches. A Dakota Digital Dash has been added and provides the driver with plenty of feedback on vital systems. Vintage Air keeps the climate under control for the occupants, and an Alpine head unit features AM/FM/CD/Satellite Radio with Bluetooth and USB port, giving plenty of options for cranking up the tunes. The Distinctive Industries tan and black interior is new, along with the carpet, door panels, dash pad, door handles, console, headliner, and interior body panels. This 1970 Camaro also has a new fuel tank, fuel pump, sending unit, and fuel lines, as well as new brake lines and master cylinder. What are you waiting for? These 2nd Gen Camaros never last long on the market, so grab this one while it's still available!
