This older, frame off restoration is stated to have included a complete engine rebuild of its 248 CID "Straight 8", the installation of a dual carb set up with the “Batwing" air cleaner and a 3.90 rear end which basically upgrading it to a 46SSE Special Sport Coupe. This 46S is finished in a gorgeous Aberdeen Beige and is accented by the period correct beige interior. There are A/C controls as well as an FM receiver and CD player in the glove box to keep the originality intact while adding some modern touches.
Per the current owner, this Buick is said to have the recent mechanical and cosmetic work done as follows: The 3-speed manual transmission (with overdrive) and clutch have been rebuilt, the valve springs were replaced and the valves were adjusted, a new period correct battery was installed, rear end was repacked, carpets removed, cleaned and reinstalled, a tachometer was installed, a recent A/C charge and it was converted to 12V alternator for more reliability.
