Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is very pleased to offer this absolutely stunning 1951 Chevrolet 3100. From the moment you lay eyes on this Merlot Red Metallic beauty, you can see just how high quality this build is! The bodywork was painstakingly performed by a very well know restoration shop here in Texas & it truly shows. The invoices on the paint and body work alone are well over $35k, and there are more that the owner hasn't even sent us yet. The rich Merlot Red Metallic paint is very nicely complimented by a set of light Gray high back buckets, rich Oak colored, high-gloss wood bed slats & fresh chrome all the way around. The power plant is compliments of a 5.7L LS1 being fed through a set of F.A.S.T. fuel rails & sparked by a Mallory ignition system and pumping the exhaust out of some short tube headers. It also has the serpentine belt system, new wiring compliments of Painless, VHX analog/digital gauges, a cold blowing Vintage Air “ComPac Gen II" A/C set up, the tunes are from a Custom Autosound head unit and so much more! All this power is being handled by the T-56 6-speed manual transmission, and is setting on a Progressive Automotive frame with a Tube X member, frame mounted boxing plates for extra rigidity, a hydraulic clutch/brake assembly, Street Ryde front suspension, power rack & pinion, a triangulated 4-bar rear suspension with Ride Tech rear coil overs & Hypecoil springs holding down the NuNine 9" outfitted with some Mosier hardened 31 spline axles & a Randy's Ring & Pinion 3:50 rear gear for cruising at 70 MPH at less than 2200 RPM's! The staggered America Racing Torque Thrust wheels are wrapped up tight with a set of Michelin Pilots and are being brought to a fast stop by the Baer 4 piston calipers biting onto slotted front rotors and slotted/cross drilled rears. There are so many invoices included with this Chevrolet 3100 I am literally having difficulty listing all the items to include in this listing! This is an early Chevrolet truck owners DREAM truck and the invoices alone total about double what this truck is being offered at, so if you were ever considering a Chevrolet 3100, your wait it over!
