Up for sale in the Houston showroom is one gorgeous pickup truck, The 1962 Chevrolet C10. The C/K was Chevrolet and GMC's full-size pickup truck line from 1960 until 2002. The 1960 model year introduced a new body style of light pick-up truck that featured many firsts. Most important of these were a drop-center ladder frame, allowing the cab to sit lower, and independent front suspension, giving an almost car-like ride in a truck. Also new for 1960 was a new designation system for trucks made by GM. Gone was the 3100, 3200, and 3600 designations for short 1/2, long 1/2 and 3/4-ton models. Instead, a new scheme would assign a 10, 20, or 30 for 1/2, 3/4, and 1-ton models. This particular one being a half ton. 1960,1961, & 1962 model uses the torsion bar front suspension, with trailing arm suspension rear for stable towing ability. Even know these trucks came with an array of different options on the on the driveline side, this one stayed simple with a 261ci staright 6 engine pumping out 150hp. Operating through the RPMS is a 3 speed floor mounted shifted transmission. The truck is very reminiscent of olden days. The full interior, including dash is painted to match the truck and looks amazing. Options on this gorgeously restored 1962 Chevy for sale include: am radio, vinyl seats, numbers matching, steel rally wheels, hubcaps and wrapped in white wall bias ply tires.
