Production for the Grand Ville started in 1971 and lasted until 1975, only to be cut short by the Arab Oil Embargo which brought skyrocketing gas prices. 1975 was the only year that came with a standard 455 C.I.D V8 accompanied by a 3 speed automatic transmission, which was the year Pontiac renamed the Grand Ville to the Grand Ville Brougham. Also for this year model, more options became standard such as power windows and the trunk being carpeted. This particular Grand Ville Brougham is numbers matching and is a true survivor with only 22,926 miles. Grand Ville convertibles are rare due to the fact less than 5,000 were produced per year with the 1975 Grand Ville Brougham being Pontiac’s last convertible until 1983.
