During the model years of 1965 to 1967 nearly 650,000 Coronets were produced with choices of a two door sedan, hardtop, convertible, four door sedan or a six or 9 passenger station wagon. The Coronet was available in three options, the Coronet, Coronet 440 and the Coronet 500, this particular model is the sportier Coronet 500. In 1966 the Coronet was remodeled to be shorter and wider with more defining lines on the side fenders also, in 1966 it was reported that only 732 Hemi Coronets left the factory. This Coronet 500 has the massive power plant consisting of a 440 C.I.D Wedge V8 with a 727 Torqueflite automatic transmission. A long list of upgrades have been made to this Hemi muscle car including: a new 4 core Hemi radiator, starter, fuel tank with 3/8†lines, Holley Blue electric fuel pump and regulator, master brake cylinder, electric fans with temperature control, 30 over 440 mopar Hemi rods, steel crank with federal Mogal bearings and rings, Mopar street Hemi cam, Keith Black pistons with 10 to 1 compression, Mopar Tunnel ram and 600 Holley carburetors, 8 ¾†rear with 3.55 posi rear end, new heater core and master control switch, American Racing wheels with front disc brakes. The deep Black exterior looks phenomenal when it passes you sounding like a true muscle car and for the lucky one directing everything from the black and red vinyl interior of this beauty, it feels like home.
