1972 Chevrolet Chevelle

The horsepower wars were all but over in 1972, but the Chevelle still looked every part of a street brawler. Thanks to the vast interchangeability of the parts, all the big horsepower pieces bolt right in. This clean looking car was painted a stunning black color which was the most obvious choice, as well as the SS stripes that are decals that have been buried underneath the clearcoat that gives the car a glossy finish. Along with the stunning paint job and decals, this Tribute comes with the blacked-out SS grille, cowl hood, reproduction badging, and flashy newer chrome bumpers. The exterior of this car is sure to turn heads if the engine doesn't do that already.

The interior remains fairly stock, which comfortable black bucket seats and a crack free dash pad that looks and feels fresh when you slide behind the two-spoke steering wheel. The center console houses a highly desirable horseshoe shifter that manages the automatic transmission below. You'll be comfortable inside this beautiful car with the Vintage A/C that's been added as well as the system that's running a R134a refrigerant, so it blows nice and cold during even the hottest days. The dash features stock gauges inside the Malibu bezel, white face Equus Auxiliary gauges that hang under the dash, and a big auto meter tachometer that is strapped to the steering column. Music sounds great with the modern retro-sound AM/FM/AUX stereo system that powers throughout the cabin.

The powerful 396 V8 is topped with a holley 4-barrel carburetor and edelbrock performer intake to help build up the horsepower. Long-tube headers feed a snarky dual exhaust system that gives the big block chevy a baritone rumble, and with the TH350 3 speed automatic transmission and 12 bolt rear end, you won't have to worry about breakage if you get on the loud pedal now and then. This Chevelle handles like a dream with the new steering box for the power steering system, and stops on a dime with the power front disc brakes. The chassis sits just right with a bit of rake for a hot rod attitude, and staggered American Racing Torque thrusts wear 225/45/17 on the front and 275/40/18 on the rear nitto performance radials.
